<p>But since I didn’t read it back in 2009, I will respond to @pizzagirl’s question: My kids HS has 8 periods a day. One goes to lunch so 7. Phys Ed is only required for one year so the other 3 years kids have 7 periods to fill, or not, as they like. Not all do foreign language all the way through. </p>
<p>So there is room for music, art, doubling up on a subject, a study hall, other electives.</p>
