2200.

I got a 2320 (yay!)

It depends where you want to go to school. At, say, the top 30 schools (both U’s and LACs) (a kind of arbitrary number) I would say 2200+ is good

2250+ is my opinion.

My goal is 2300, but I’m not even close. Actually, I need to get like 3/4 more questions right to get there, but still.

My Sat scale
1500 and below- instantaneous death.
1500-1700- icky
1800-average C- state college
1900- B-
2000- B
2100- okay, acceptable
2200- here begins the spectacular
2300- wow
2400- a genius is born

^
Your scale is too harsh for international students. I am applying for universities that have an average SAT score a 500. So, I don’t see any “icky issues” in a 1700-1800.

@Suleyman95, no-one condemns the people who get these scores. However, you must understand that perceptions of quality necessarily stem from individual aspirations. Therefore, 1700 may be a good score for you, given where you apply. However, for people who aim higher, 1700 may very well be “icky” - without passing any judgment on your achievement. Subjective reality, mate ,)

I’ve always considered 2100 the “Ivy threshold”, a level at which the score no longer keeps you out of the Ivy League. I would therefore say that 2100+ is “good enough” :)

2300+ haha

lol my personal scale:

1500-: death
1600: i messed up realllll bad
1700: wow this is bad
1800: ew
1900: still bad
2000: okay, we’re getting better
2100: good!
2200: really good!
2300+: fantastic!
2400: genius.

2100 for me, but i think a general decent score is 1800+

Hmm, based on what people I know say, it seems that a 2000+ is good. I’m leaning more towards a 2200+ being good and would personally be very grateful for and not retake a score of 2300+.

I got 2200 superscore so when people say 2200+ is good, I get nervous because mine is exactly 2200 LOL

For me: 1700+ is pretty good.

For CCer’s: 2400. 2300 would be considered OK.

lol I don’t think it’s that extreme. Most CCers think 2200+ is good, 2300+ is great, and 2400 amazing. Anything under 2000 for CCers, though, is absolute death.

Suleyman95,. yeah, I didn’t mean any offense. 91shippy perfectly summed up my reasononing. Furthermore, I’m not only going by the average scale, I’m using CC’s twisted glass vision.

lol CCers are so competitive (: I bet everyone on here works really hard-or at least most.

NOVEMBER 2010 results out in 1 day! fingers crossed

I am two years in advance; though I am 15, I am a senior already. I have taken the SAT once and am very disappointed with my score, a 2050. I admittedly took on too much extracurricular activities and had very little time to prepare for the test. I plan to apply for ivy league colleges and was wondering whether I would be considered at all with such a damaging score. I will be taking the test again, but I just wanted to understand what a solid score would be to apply to such ambitious institutions. Thank you :)

2600.

I only accept 2600 as a good score.

Kidding. I’d be happy to get a 2200

2300+ is good.

My mom thinks anything other than a 2400 is rubbish.

Yeah, I’m asian.
