We just received following mail from UW and inviting us for the spring campus event.
Does this mail from UW gives any hope on the admission or is this a regular mail to everyone?
Appreciate your response on this.

mail content is as follows:

Thank you again for applying to the Seattle campus of the University of Washington. As promised, we hope to notify you of an admission decision between March 15th-31st. We know it's been a long wait, and we appreciate not only your interest but also your patience.

In the meantime, we want to let you know about Spring Preview Days. This event will be an exciting opportunity for newly admitted freshmen to meet current UW students, faculty members, advisers, and many of the other people who foster students' growth and success. Together, we'll show you what makes the UW different and help you figure out if it's right for you.

Spring Preview Days will be held April 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16 and 17. Each preview day offers the same program of activities for students and families. Additional information will arrive soon after an offer of admission.

If you are admitted to the University, but you aren't able to attend any of the Spring Preview Days, you may choose to come to campus April 19th-21st for HuskyFest, a three-day campus-wide event showcasing some of the amazing things happening at the UW. More information on this event will be available in the coming weeks.

Yours in purple and gold,

I got this too! I hope it means we got in! I find it kind of odd that they would send this to everyone. I had 1780 SAT, 3.8 gpa with loads of ex and ap class. Extra credits and I wrote good essays!

I got it too! I think its just so people can plan to attend those events if they are admitted! Traveling arangements and such… Esp for out of state people.

Help OOS students plan to come

Keep UW on the radar for all students

sustain the anticipation and suspense for those that really want in (which from above, worked)

I didn’t know if I got in, and like a full 3-4 weeks before I got my envelope with my offer I had been receiving emails like this, also emails from the EOP and from OMAD. I have talked to other people who had the same phenomenon but they were all UMs like me.

The best was when the lady from the EOP program called me to ask if I was going to do their function for fall admits and I was like “WHAT?!? I GOT IN?!?” lololol

lol xavi, I got called by the EOP program almost 4 months after I got in…All the other UMs I knew got calls around the time they got in (rolling admission back then). I felt like a forgotten kid XDD
