Being a Math major opens many doors. You can go on to graduate school for a plethora of different disciplines. I-Banking, consulting, quant, etc. are all viable options.

can you go on to get a graduate in something that doesn't involve money? would it be dumb to major in math and get a grad degree in physics?

Nope, it has been done before.

Math is an excellent major for a lot of things... computers, business, education, science, etc.

My B.S. degree was in Computational Mathematics (a $100 word for math major w/comp sci emphasis minus abstract algebra and minus real analysis).

I have worked since day 1 out of undergrad as a software engineer.

"How bout accounting(CPA)?"

CPA's are required to have an accounting education, so, without further education, a math major could not become a CPA.

GLOBALTRAVELER, i am interested in majoring in computational mathematics as well. i was wondering if you fell that u have an edge over regular cs majors when looking for jobs. what jobs are out there?
