What kind of Laptop are you bringing?

I was just looking to get some examples on here as I am having one hell of a time finding one for me.

Mac or PC?

Well i’m doing engineering so i’ll probably have a pc.

It does depend on what you’re using it for. That said, I recommend a Mac for mostly everything. While Macs are on the expensive side - my Pro was $1300 -, they are computers that last for a long while. I know I might sound like an Apple fanboy, but superior software and design make it much easier to use and a much faster machine. I highly recommend it.

I’m getting my 15’’ Mac on Tuesday!

I simply didn’t get one because its overpriced and 80% of industry uses microsoft, why make extra work for yourself making sure everything you do is compatible with them?

I got a dell studio 15. dell is pretty low-end compared to other brands but you only need an average laptop for college unless your art student or decide to game all the time…

PC im using vista

Get a Mac if you can, honestly. Sure, the majority of the market uses Windows-based machines, but U of M has a plethora of Apple products everywhere and services them on a more regular basis. And with BootCamp, complaints about not being compatible with certain software is null and void. I mean, that’s not to say that there are some seriously awesome Windows machines out there, but a Mac’s going to last you all four years and give you MUCH better resale value when it comes time to upgrade.
