Just curious, I'm going go get a new one this weekend so I have phones on the mind :P

I currently have a Krzr. Very cute but very simple little phone.

Also, about getting a new phone, I'm stuck between the Venus and the Chocolate 2. Venus is super cool but touch screens might slow me down when I'm trying to do stuff.

How about you? Are you a huge texter(I only text about 250-300 a month)? Hate/love your phone?

I, erm, have a razr, dunno about the exact model or whatever. It's primary purpose nowadays is serving as a superfluous (and seemingly incompetent) alarm clock.

I text, oh, half a time per month. Use it to talk maybe once every few days.

Regarding your question: personally, I don't like the way Chocolates work... but I don't like slide phones in general. My mom bought a Chocolate and has been annoyed with it since like a week after she bought it, lol. But I know lots of people who love using them, so... eh. Dunno about the Venus.

Oh, and I text often in the month. I text more than anything. It's easier than having to call my mom everytime I need to ask her something, which is shockingly a lot of the time.

I am woefully out of touch with cellphone technology. I've never even texted anyone on one; I'm the only person I know who uses it strictly to call people and doesn't use it very often anyway.

Not to stand out...but I have an unlocked Samsung D900i bought off an Ebay store. :D (it's getting a bit old though...had it a couple years)

How much are you looking to spend?

I'm pretty sure you aren't considering something in it's price range ($200+), but you should definitely look at its cousins in the Samsung Slider lineup. I've played around with my friends, and they all work just as well as mine. (minus some features, of course)

To my knowledge, Samsung is one of the best value and quality manufacturers out there. I've heard of countless broken Motorolas and LGs, but hardly any (if even one) broken Samsungs. And this is coming from friends who play catch (I'm not joking) with their phones.

(as a side note, I am a heavy texter/caller/picture taker. I avg 800 texts per month and have gone up to as much as 2000, since I have many people who I must keep in constant communication with. for multimedia, Samsung absolutely excels!)

i have an iphone 3g.
i have unlimited txting and i end up texting 1000+ a month. it's mostly because my friends & i text eachother during classes (even if we sit right next to eachother) =D
