<p>At first, I thought I wanted to be an English major, because I wanted to write. But when I took an intro to English course, I didn't like all the subtlety, and the 'there is no right answer, as long as you can support what you think', but there IS a right answer.... that course made me think English is weird... I don't know if I want to go into it anymore. It's hard to tell with one course,,, tell me now, how are the upper division courses like? What can I expect from this major? I only wanted to go into this major because it can help me with critical thinking skills and the job outlook with an English major is very broad,,, and who knows what I might want to do in the future... what other majors offer this broad freedom?</p>
