<p>I hope you don't really consider Rice to be in "The South." Houston really doesn't have that kind of feel to it, and Rice sounds like the kind of place you might enjoy.</p>
<p>Just to clarify- I didn't mean to suggest Georgetown could be a safety, I meant Catholic.</p>
<p>How about Carnegie Mellon or Johns Hopkins? I second Chicago. Rice, too, if you can handle the geography. Loyola of Chicago is really good for premed. USC would be good, if you want to go to the west coast.</p>
