*NOTE: Hopefully there aren't any errors in the placement of these sentences since editing between sentences is a bit cluttery, and this is a somewhat longer post (depending on what you consider a long discussion post), but I want to try and get some advice from someone who understands my thought process
I am about to start my junior year in high school, so that means college applications soon and deciding what to major in along with apps. I'm a bit tied up with what I want to major in, so hopefully someone can give me some advice.
I've always loved playing video games, and I've always wondered how they were actually made. So I set forth to learn to code and how to make games, and I've done exactly that and I've even reached out to other topics like web design, app design, and some robotics. I've taken CS courses in HS and I've done great in them, and I considered majoring in computer science. But I've also wanted to learn exactly how we managed to make microprocessors and chips to create these beautiful, powerful machines we use nearly every moment of our lives, so computer engineering would be something I would be interested in studying. Robotics interests me since a robot is like a computerized little being that you can change the behavior of by adding sensors and by manipulating code. Robotics also seems close to CE, so with how large of a span CE has CS as a major is kind of out of the question (but maybe not totally out of the question).
But I've also wanted to learn why everything in the world behaves in the way it does, so physics is an interesting topic for me, specifically rocketry and aviation. Poking around, I've seen that mechanical engineering would be better suited for this interest of mine (http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/15251536/#Comment_15251536).
So, I'm a bit caught up on what to pick, and I feel it would be easier to find a job relating to robotics than it would be to find one to use my ME degree in, especially for an aerospace company. Any advice to steer me in some kind of direction would be greatly appreciated, and anyone reading through all of that alone would be appreciated :)
