There are lots of good majors for law school. You can major in anything and go to law school.
A lot of sources seem to make this assumption, but it’s not necessarily true. It could also simply be the case that students who are inclined to major in highly abstract fields that involve a lot of logical, ordered thinking - like physics, math, economics, philosophy, engineering, and chemistry - simply have some traits that make them better at the logic puzzle-like items on the LSAT. That could in part explain why, for example, physics and math majors do much better than computer science, finance, and accounting majors, despite the quantitative facility required for all of those majors. It’s not just about whether or not your major has lots of math; maybe it’s about the kinds of students who are driven to major in those things in the first place.
