Hi, I plan on applying this fall to Bucknell’s School of Management as an accounting major. Is it harder to get into the business school than it is other to other schools? Bucknell is already a reach for me so I would like to know what I should be expecting.
Yes, both Engineering and School of Management had 19% admit rates for class of 2019 compared to 24.8% overall. (These statistics are readily available on Bucknell’s website by the way.) However, if you want to be an accounting major you need to apply to the School of Management as a freshman as trying to transfer in later from Arts and Sciences is even more competitive (at least that’s what we were told at an Open House last spring.)
I am a Bucknell grad and parent. But I could not find the data you mentioned momofzag. Can you provide a link?
It’s on the Class of 2019 admitted students profile. I just calculated Engineering and Business admittance rates based on the raw numbers provided.

BTW - I am a Bucknell parent as well and I find the redesigned website extremely cumbersome - looks pretty but very hard to find info.
