What major should I go into to study robotics?

I’m sorry if I’m in the wrong forum for this, but I was looking to see if someone could help me out with something.

I’ve recently applied to UCF for computer science, but I’m unsure on whether or not I should change my major. Although computer science does interest me, I’m worried that I’m going to end up in a job position where I’m stuck behind a computer all day writing endless amounts of code. I don’t mind having to code at all, but I was hoping to enter a field where I’d be able to create the software and hardware of different machines and have the ability to come up with different ideas and see them come to life. I’ve looked into robotics and machine learning and have been extremely interested in the field. Unfortunately, robotics is only offered as a minor at UCF.

So I was wondering, if any of you have experience in this field, what would you recommend I major in? Mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or just stick with computer science?

I can offer additional information if it helps
Thank you!!
