I’m currently a sophomore and I have an A in Biology and a B in WH but I need to know what review books were the most helpful. My WH teacher is okay since we’ve been reading two chapters a week from the traditions and encounters book and done dbqs, comparative and contrast essays, changes and continuities essays once a week etc and at that rate it would leave us one month to review but my bio teacher is not so great unless you call teaching putting up notes on a projector that were taken from the Campbell textbook and just reading them out loud teaching…The exams are in May but i want to start studying for them since last year when I took Human Geography I got an A in the class but got a 2 on the exam. Yikes, i know. I blame my nerves since it was my first Ap exam and had heard that it was hard and i guess everything just messed with my head. I also bought the Barrons book and read it for three days but i guess it was too late for me to review and started freaking out. Anyways which review books would you recommend? I’m aiming for a 4 this year since i actually have more time to study for the exams and not have a mental breakdown or cram last minute. sorry for all the information lol.
Back when I was studying (the first year they changed the exam), I used Barron’s for AP Bio. I think Barron’s is considered the most comprehensive series (at least for AP Bio). However, it didn’t have much relation to the actual test (due to the complete rehaul of the test, nobody knew what it was going to be like).
Make sure you get your advice for AP Bio from someone who has taken it in last couple years, preferably last year. But I’d suggest Barron’s.
I’m currently self-studying for AP Bio. A lot of people on CC say Cliffs is the better book for AP Bio, which is why I went with that.
