<p>yeahh but when asked what religion you are. its proper to say atheist or agnostic because its describing your lack of religion. Its more specific than saying no religion.</p>

<p>I've considered joining an Episcopalian church.</p>

<p>is a religion, because it means you are sure that there is no God. You cannot prove that there is no god, so your insistence that there is not one amounts to a belief and nothing more.
Agnosticism is a bit different, because you are saying that "the jury is still out", in other words, you make no claim either way. That's definitely not a religion.</p>

<p>Anyway.. I'm agnostic by belief but Jewish in practice. I see Jewish holidays more as a celebration of being Jewish rather than a reverance of God, so I play it that way.</p>

<p>And no, Atheism is not a religion--it has no holidays. Although, I've never seen one turn down a day off on somebody else's holiday.</p>
