im going to be applying to some very selective colleges in the fall (for biomedical engineering) and was wondering how to pick what SAT II tests to take. i want to do Bio (E), Physics and World History; will it look bad that they arent all science/math, though? or is it better to show that i can do things besides just science/math?
also, will it look bad if i take Bio E instead of Bio M ? (E is supposedly the easier of the two)
In general schools that require or recommend SAT 2s do not care which ones you take with some exceptions. Some of the engineering programs will specify which sciences they want and also specify if they want a Math subject test, and, if so, Math 1 or Math 2. Here is a list that is pretty current. http://www.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/subject-test-requirements-and-recommendations/ But best to check the websites of specific schools to confirm.
ok thank you!
Many schools ask you to submit a test in the field of math/science and another in the field of reading/language/history/etc. So, Bio and WH should be fine. However, I recommend, like said above, taking Math 1 or 2 if you want to apply to engineering schools. If you are taking precalc or higher, you should be fine on the math 2 exam, which schools like to see more than math 1.
