What schools are you planning to go to?

I know that on the other forums we hear HYPSM and the UCs on almost every thread. But I wonder what you guys at High School Life are planning to apply.

I want to go to University of Florida because I'm going to finish about 2 years of college from APs and Community College and they have to accept it. The Honors College is pretty prestigious and will get us a pretty nice dorm. Not to mention that it will be less stressful than HYPSM and there's lots of partying as well (gotta have some fun before we grow up, right?).

Absolutely no idea, I haven't even begun thinking about colleges or taken anything major yet...rofl.

(liist, you planning to go to HYPSM or something for grad btw? I seem to get an impression...)

I want to go to UF as well, but I screwed up my GPA so it's probably still a reach for me. If not I'll go to another Florida college, probably FSU even though I really don't want to. Better than the others I think.

I'm terribly bipolar (luckily I've got time to decide).... One day it's Pomona, the next UChic, then Columbia for creative writing, then Swarthmore, then I realize the impossibility of getting into some of these (no doubt fostered by this very site) and start all over again. Maybe Chapel Hill instate if I can get a scholarship...might as well save up for grad school now....

I really want to go to Villanova or UMich (in-state)

Probably either Oberlin or Michigan State.

UT Austin, TAMU, or UF

Rhodes, Sewanee, Furman...

glassesarechic, I'm getting the idea you don't know the correct meaning of bipolar...

NYU Stern or Berkeley are my number one choices.

I came up with my list as a freshman... hopefully I don't have to change it.

Harvard
MIT
Princeton
Yale
University of Chicago
Duke (Legacy, instate)
UNC-CH (4x legacy, instate, related to first student)

The problem here is I can say how much I want to go to x college all day, but it comes down to who will accept me.

Only if I get an ROTC scholarship for any of those colleges. But I screwed up my GPA bad enough that Georgia Tech would probably be the best choice for my majors.

WUSTL, UChi, Northwestern, Duke, Columbia, Stanford, NYU

Texas A&M
UT Austin
Rice University

if not accepted at HYPSM. :D

My almost-final list, in alphabetical order:

Brown*
Case Western Reserve
Johns Hopkins*
MIT*
Northwestern
Princeton
RPI
UDel
Wellesley

= top choice

Kind of all over the board in terms of general atmosphere, but they all have great neuroscience programs and other features that appeal to me.

Some of my other choices:

UCLA
USC
UC San Diego
Northwestern
Brown
Stanford (dream school but no chance)

I'm a little weary about moving too far away from home, but I'd move to the east coast in a heartbeat if I got into Brown or Stern.

I'm totally ignorant about colleges/majors and the like, but this seems a bit awkward - I meant graduate school...um, you haven't even started your undergrad yet?

Ill probably be at Georgia or Texas Christian if I dont get into USC.

I have no idea. Of course I'm young to be thinking about it anyways :)

LMU, U of F, UCF, NYU, others.

Nary a clue, to be honest, but I've posted a chances thread in hopes of narrowing my options!

Kind souls, mightn't ye recommend me something?
