Btw My intended major is philosophy/Classics/English! GPA: uw 3.3 w- 3.8 (Straight A+ in English) No ap just pre-ib courses in ninth and tenth grade, I transferred out and didn’t get the chance to move into 11th and 12th grade ib. My new school doesn’t offer Ap but they do offer courses that qualify as Ap or the same level of difficulty. I’ve taken 3 of those.
Dual enrollment at CUNY Hunter and CCNY ( philosophy and English composition)- I got an A- in Philosophy and A in English composition. Might do one for Biology or Psychology Senior year.
SAT: 1390 , retaking hopefully shooting for a 1430. I haven’t taken the ACT yet, I took a diagnostic and scored a 30.
Essay: Hopefully my essays are strong, I am a very good/engaging writer and I have multiple hooks to use.

THE ONE THING HOLDING ME BACK I FAILED MATH AND SCIENCE FRESHMAN YEAR BC I HAD HORRIBLE TEACHERS WHO PICKED ON ME , I DIDN’T HURT ME AS MUCH BC 8th grade I took my freshman math and science courses. But besides that everything is good, I improved the following years. Also: I’m Latina/Caribbean , my dad has an associates degree, my mom never went to college. I’m from Nyc, considered lower middle class. Only child.
