I’m currently attempting to create a college list and i need some help gathering schools that fall into an reachable range.
i have 2000 sat (690Cr, 660 math, 650writing)
4.5 weighted gpa ( by senior year i’ll have 11 AP’s completed)
rank: 5/300ish
i have plenty of volunteer hours and leadership positions within clubs and sports.
really open to doing some research if people give me reasonable college suggestions.
University of Alaska at Fairbanks.
Is there a region, size, cost, or set of majors you’re hoping for? If you live in Alaska, then Fairbanks is perfectly reasonable. On the other hand, if your world stops where the “Welcome to New Jersey” sign begins, that’s probably not a good pick. I can’t tell.
The point is, that there isn’t really enough information to do more than start throwing out random names. That probably won’t help you much at all.
@50N40W ah yes sorry i forgot to mention, i’m looking in the New England area
Urban, rural, large, small, liberal arts, engineering? … there’s a lot going on in New England.
I would consider colleges with acceptance rates about 30% or so. I can’t give you a definite answer because your major will be taken into consideration.
Ooooh, and that uncomfortable question. The one where everyone gets a little tense … 5k /year/ 10? 20? 40?
@50N40W more of an urban environment, and i would apply as a computer science major
That helps … There are a lot of good options in that area. I’ve heard good things about WPI but really don’t know too much about the area…
