what should be the heading of the check for enrollment deposit?

what should be the heading of the check for enrollment deposit?

Double check the info that came with the admit letter but if you don’t find any specific instructions I would suggest on the memo/note line opposite the signature line writing something like seat or enrollment deposit Jane D Smith. If the address printed on the check is the same as the student’s address that should be more than enough. When my daughter was admitted last year, I purposely went to admissions on the day we were there for admitted spring open campus and hand delivered the check. Believe me I understand how important this is!!!

MConklin, does U of R have a deposit waiver? If so, how much is it?

All the checks I’ve made out to any school were to the school. Just write in the memo the student’s name and ID number and that it’s the deposit.

i received the confirmation mail from UR that they received the deposit. only thing i wrote other than whom the check was directed to was my name.

wait a minute…I only give them a response form and a check without my name on it…Is that fine?

Was your name on the response form? or your address? Was your address the check? As long as the university can match up the name and address they have for you from your application to the response form/check, you should be fine. Be watching for the confirmation. If you don’t have a confirmation in a week, I personally would email or call to make certain they have received your response form/check.

You have to call the office with any inquiries regarding deposit waivers. Otherwise making a check out to the University of Rochester is correct, and you should put the students full name in the memo/note line, though it should be attached to the response form. Sorry for the delayed response.
