What should I choose as a major? Confused?

So I was set on doing CSOM but now that I decided to not take AP calc this year and go for Prob Stat, I feel like I will be an auto reject, also my SAT math score is only a 640 while my CR is an 800 and writing is a 720 respectively. Also, my math grade in school is always my lowest haha but not abysmal or anything and I’m pulling a 100 this year in Stats. So given my lack of math skills should I go for Political Science since I am good at that stuff and it truly fascinates me? Is CSOM that math centered and how difficult is it to go in with only Pre Calc that I took as a junior. My only problem with that Political Science is I worry if I will be able to get a decent paying job upon graduation… or perhaps go on for a master’s (I heard BC has a good Poly Sci department is this true)? I don’t want to go to law school by the way… So anyway I’m rather confused about what to put as my major as you can see, please help?

I have good business ec’s by the way as well as 100’s in the 5 business classes I have taken (they were marketing and accounting). They both interest me, but, right now, business just looks like the more pragmatic choice in terms of future income.

Dear Iluvskool : Stop thinking about your current grades and post-graduation salary to decide on your major. There is a great deal of life to be lived between the ages of 18 and 22 - you will change during that time with the maturing process.

So, the better question to be asking comes back to you : What is your passion? Pursue your passion and you will never actually work a day in your life.

ScottJ you are right about that, I agree with you; However, I am worried that if I choose Business I will be rejected for my lack of quant skills, or perhaps I get in, and find out I’m miserable in a math centered major…

Dear Iluvskool : You didn’t answer the question. What is your passion? You have shared your “fears”, but not what really motivates your desire to learn. [Hint : If you find you are miserable in math - hard to believe given that is my personal area of graduate work - you can always rethink your direction. However, to never have tried due to a personal fear is the real tragedy. Think about it.]
