intended major: pure mathematics

Now, I decided to go to the UMD as a math major because UCs are so expensive. I need some advice, please.

I am not in your shoes to give you advice, but here is my point based on my own case:

  1. School is not expensive if you receive Financial Aid or Scholarship, so maybe you chose the best choice already because you know your budget and the cost of attendance better than anybody.
  2. I don't know why you wanted the Math major when your score reflected like that (sorry if it sounds offensive but maybe Math is not your best choice). But it seems too late to change. Then you should choose the school in which you will have higher chance to be at the top of your class. And maybe the semester system can help you absorb the material better than the fast pace in the quarter system.

WIsh you all the best.
