Im a full time college student, and receiving finacial aid, I live wit my grandparents and my dad, my gradfather is who "supports" me. My dad doesnt n never has done it...
Although I support myself, I pay for my own stuf/// bills ...phone, car insurance, clothing, food everything. but in order to get financial aid I was told I have to be claimed by somebody else... that "somebody else" should be my dad or my grandfather?
in the fasfa web page I supposed to submit my dad's info n taxes... the last year 08 thats what i did, even though he didnt claim me as dependant, because my grandfather did...
this year im going to file my taxes ... can my grandfather claim me as dependant again this year???
I think it would be unfair if my dad claims me and is given refund... and my grandfather who is the only one who cares about me might not be able to get any benefit.

For financial aid purposes, it doesn't matter who claims you on their taxes. If your grandpa can legally claim you on his taxes, he can do that & it won't affect your financial aid in any way.

As for whose info to put on the FAFSA, it's your dad's. If dad isn't earning much, that is actually to your advantage. Just do everything with dad as the parent.
