I’ve got an on-campus interview this Wednesday and I’m super nervous and not sure what I should wear… What did you guys wear to your interviews? I don’t want to overdress and look really stuffy, but I definitely don’t want to look too casual either! Haaallpppp I’m going shopping later today!!

WHen I arrived for my interview, there were people dressed from full-on formal wear to jeans and a nice top. I think that a button down shirt and skirt/dress pants should be good enough. Neat and presentable is all that matters, I would think.

Yeah, I had a similar experience as Kiwi. There were a few other girls there for interviews, one in a sweater and jeans, and one with a sweatshirt. That might just cross the line, I think a sweatshirt is a little too informal.

I wore an outerwear-type sweater and some business pants and heels, which might have been borderline too formal, but it would have been better than too informal. I agree with Kiwi and suggest a nice sweater or button-down with dressy bottoms. Also, nice shoes that make you feel confident (for me, shoes that clack!) as well as match your outfit (black should be safe) and keep you warm enough for a December afternoon in Manhattan. Good luck!

I wore a button-down white shirt with this crazy collar, a light sweatshirt, and dark jeans capris when I went over the summer.

sigh I later lost that sweatshirt while on my Columbia tour. LOL.

I wore black skinny jeans and a white shirt.

After, I realized my neon pink bra was totally visible.

…I had a great interview and got in RD =)
