What should I write my transfer essay about

There is a ton of reasons why I want to transfer but most of them have to do with things that are wrong with my current school. I’ve read that I should avoid bashing the school were at though so i’m curious as to what I should write about. I’m listing my reasons for transferring below in order of how big of a factor they play. Please let me know which one you thing would be best looked upon by college admissions officers.

Push Factors

  1. I don’t feel like i’m learning, I really feel like i’m picking up skills but i’m not gaining any knowledge of any value and that can be credited to my schools obnoxiously big core requirements and weird focuses. I definitely don’t feel like I’m getting my moneys worth. I feel like I’m paying for the diploma, not the education.
  2. My school doesn’t offer my major. I want to major in international relations. My school offers international political economy but I want to focus more on national security or conflict resolution. Besides IPE, my school only has international studies. On top of that, my school is definitely not the one you go to if you want to work in the foreign service (which i do).
  3. Just generally unhappy- feel like I’m spending way too much time reading/learning/writing about required classes that are truly irrelevant to my major or real life (e.g. history of american medicine/ asian art) and because I’m so busy i’m not getting a normal, fun college experience

  4. No Diversity- everybody is super liberal, wealthy, white- I’m liberal, wealthy, white, but I don’t really like that
  5. School’s in a super dangerous area and no exaggeration like 5 students get mugged per week and I have to go off campus alot

I don’t hate my school and I could see why someone would really enjoy it but I am certain that its just not the right fit for me.

I also have very good reasons for why I want to go to the schools that I’m applying to but each school has its own reasons and the same common app essay gets sent to each school so i can’t really personalize for each school. My gut tells me that the second reason would go over the best but if anybody has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks.
