First off, I'm knew on this forum......
My purpose here (apart from wasting time cause I'm bored and whatever...) is to find out the chance I have of studying abroad. Since I'm not the only one here with the same question I will take the privilege to ask the questions in the name of anyone with similar hopes.

Just to make a quick survey.... If you ever had such an experience, and you willing you can post and tell us about it.

well i’m from singapore and want to study in the US…
But if you probably mean from the US to somewhere else.

here are some points that can be applied to any situation , where a student would like to travel overseas.

Plan , plan and plan again. Oh and plan with your parents too, because they are likely to be the ones paying for it. Keep in mind the air fare costs and how much that will cost you over the years.

Know what tests you will be required to do… way ahead of time.
What qualifications are required?
In some countries ECs and essays are not even considered. Know what the application process is like.

Be aware of the currency exchange rates :P

Research the country , in fact VISIT the country, and THAT area/state.
Better still, visit the college.

Think about accommodation. when you study there do you have relatives you could live with there, will you be staying in the dorms , or will you have a house there?

Ask about the immigration law there, will you be required to have a visa or pass?

try to study in a major city so that there will be easy access to an international airport… And if you hate flying, keep in mind you will most likely have to fly ALOT… take not of the traveling time too.
