what to do after undergraduate ??

hi all
I was wondering ,if I wanna go to grad school after getting a bachelor degree in EE, can I work and pay the tuition for the Grad school or I will have to wait until I finish the Grad to get a job??

best;

If you wanna work and pay your grad. school , it is your choice. Nobody will stop you. But, most grad. schools will have scholarship, grants, TA, internship that will pay for your school (tuition, etc). However, you need to have high GPA for those things as competition is very keen. My philosophy is I would never pay for my schooling for undergraduate, graduate or Phd. Just study/work hard and they will pay for me/you.

I’ve been thinking about the same thing lately.

Obviously, you can do what you want: Go straight to grad school on scholarships, loans, grants, etc; Work and go to grad school part time and pay with the money you make; See if you’re lucky enough to have an employer pay for your grad school.

For me (and possibly you) the problem isn’t figuring out the possibilities, but choosing one them. If you’re like me and have plenty of time to make that decision, then it may not be worth stressing over right now.

Yasser, God love you son, but you seem like a bit of a stargazer.

Keeping your grades up will give you all of the options, but it is the experience of the day-to-day tasks that will answer these questions for you. It will be at some point near the end of junior year that at least the questions that need to be answered will become clear. The guys who like to design and build stuff mostly stop at a BS. The guys who loved taking technical coursework were the ones who kept going for advanced degrees.

The economic and educational situations we have now will be very different 4 years from now. For now, study hard, even the courses where you don’t see any point in doing so. Your strengths will reveal themselves in time.

Get ready for your freshman year, make some new friends when you get to school, and enjoy.

I won’t bother my self thinking about scholarships,grants,loans… because I am not a US citizen.
probably I will choose the 2nd choice ,work and pay for grad school.
thanks a lot guys.
