So I was Waitlisted for Tech and denied from UGA, now I have to pick from one of my 2 backups: Auburn or Kennesaw State. If I don’t get in from waitlist, I plan on transferring in through Conditional Transfer during my 2nd year of college.
In the meantime, which of my backups should I pick and plan to attend if things don’t go my way? I intend to major in either Biology or Biomedical Engineering for a pre-med track and am a GA resident. Which school would be better? Both have pros and cons to them, just looking for some collective advice
Did you get financial aid for Auburn? My guess is that Kennesaw will be significantly cheaper (I assume you qualify for HOPE, if not Zell Miller), which – as a parent, anyway – would make the choice obvious, especially if you plan to transfer.
I agree with YankeeinGA, although having said that if you want to spend 4 years at a great SEC University surrounded by Georgia engineering students you can’t beat Auburn - it is an AUsone place… $ smart move would be Kennesaw or North GA (they have the 2/3 or 3/2 to Tech program for engineers).
