What to do to improve your chances after sending in your application

Was just wondering if any former students could lend a hand on this one. OOS super worried about getting in and would wondering if there was anything that could improve my chances after the fact of sending in your app.

If you need to improve your SAT score, take it again. Otherwise, there’s nothing you can do. Unless you have done something new that is absolutely amazing and worth telling them, you just have to wait it out. And of course keep your grades up.

Hey! I’m a current UNC student. I’m assuming you have applied Early Action, but it does not matter regardless. There is nothing you can do to improve your application after it has been submitted for EA at this point. Possibly for Regular Decision, but most of the time what is on your app is sufficient information. If you applied RD, you can retake your SATs and send in better scores, but ultimately you have to just wait. If you applied EA, they may defer you until they see your mid-year grades. However, they accept a very small amount of deferred, around 300, so even if you make straight A’s, there is no guarantee. Let me know if you have questions!

thanks for taking time to answer, tarheeler and jessimo
