My teacher wrote me this wonderful recommendation. Everything he wrote is factual but it sounds like its too good to be true. Also, I have some changes that I would want him to make. What should I do? Should I ask him?

LOL. Keep it. A good recommendation can only help, not hurt you. I would be really happy if I were you.

well you should have waived your right to read it

Its a recommendation for the common app, there is no place to waive my rights.

.....i hope this isn't just a thread to brag...

Why would it be?

The better the rec, the better you look in front of adcoms. I suggest you not to change anything, since the rec letter is a great way to make you stand out.

If I wrote a great recommendation for someone, and they came back to me to make changes, I would not be happy.

^^ Agreed.

In response to your headline, you get down on your knees and thank God... or Allah... or Buddha... or Paula Abdul... who ever your favorite is, I suppose.

Hi, I have a question regarding good recommendations as well.

What will adcoms think if one of the recommendations is EXTREMELY good but the other one is only decent? I ask this because I know one of my teachers VERY well and I do well in her class whereas my other teachers consider me very normal.

Well, they'll probably know that you've done really great with the teacher who's given you the amazing rec, but not as good with the teacher who gave you just a good rec.
