Greetings everyone,

I am a chemistry/physics double major, currently searching for a better undergraduate institution to finish my bachelor's degrees at. After that, I intend to head on to medical school. With my plans in mind, I would like to ask for some advice.
I am undecided between a few institutions: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Vanderbilt University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Which one should I pick?

Not sure what Vanderbilt and Illinois are like but unless you think that you’re in the top 2.5% of all people in terms of intelligence, you can expect to struggle to get a GPA as high as a 3.0 in Physics and Chemistry at UNC. And that may thwart any future medical school ambitions you have.

Would that imply that the chemistry and physics programs at UNC are of extremely good quality? Illinois ranks top 10 in the nation as far as undergraduate chem and phys goes, but on the 50s on overall rankings.
Vanderbilt ranks around 17 on general but 50s on chem and phys (for graduate however; I am taking the liberty of extending it to undergraduate even though it might be a mistake).
UNC would be a in between the two, reason why I’m considering it. But yet I am told that Vanderbilt is a better choice…
