So I applied Early Action to UB a little more than a week ago via Common App. I also sent in my SAT scores around the same time I applied. I was wondering:
Should I be expecting an email/letter in the mail from UB saying that they have received my app?
And is there a way to check my app status?
I’m wondering because UB’s EA deadline is 11/15 and that’s kind of soon and I want to make sure they received all of my materials, especially since UB is my top choice!
If not, then I could just email the admissions counselor for my region asking if the school has received anything from me, right?
From the admission web site:
“After You Apply
We will be using email to communicate with you about any items missing from your application, so it is essential that you monitor your email for this important information. It is your responsibility to check your email regularly for updates.”
My son applied last year and he did not get any email from the office. However, he got several emails from the honors college and several calls from the academies before he received an acceptance letter.
He is freshman there and we are very happy with the school. Good luck!
