What to expect at a visit?

This week I'm visiting BC, BU, UCONN, NEU, and URI. I'm attending an information session then a campus tour for each. For the first four, I made a reservation/signed up for the visit.

What should I expect at these? Is it just going to be my family or are there going to be other prospective students at these visits?

Also, sorry, I didn't know which thread to put this in

The information session and tours are typically for groups. During the information session usually an admissions officer will give an overview of the school and the admission process to the entire group. Then people split up into smaller groups for tours which are usually given by students. You should feel free to ask questions so you get the most out of your visit – usually it makes sense to ask questions about the school/admission process at the information session and about social life/activities to the student during the tour. When you walk around the schools this week keep in mind that school is not in session over the summer.

And…make sure you sign in at each school so they know you visited. You will get information packets from most of the schools so I’d suggest that you get a big file folder or a plastic bin with file folders to keep everything in case you want to refer back to it later. And my kids would write down their impressions of the school and anything they particularly liked or didn’t like during/after each visit.
