Are you sure that a desktop type is what will be needed and not a laptop? Most students prefer a laptop.
I agree, students now usually use a laptop, and there is usually a computer lab if they need more power. You can check if the dept has any recommendations. There is also a subforum for computers under the College Life forum. Don’t know how busy it gets hidden like that.
