What type of envelope did you send your letter of rec in? - URGENT PLEASE (:

So i need to give my teachers addressed envelopes for them to send my letters of recommendation out & was wondering if the large papersized orange envelopes were the norm (practically everyone at my school uses them) or the regular small white envelopes were acceptable :o
thanks a lot in advance!!

I seem to recall that Stanford requested the larger ones but they’re the only ones.

Otherwise, either are acceptable. They are there only to transport a slip of paper to an address. Once opened, they’ll be trashed. Heck, once the rec letter is scanned – *it’ll be trashed. *You’re overthinking things.

A standard #10 envelope (the regular small white envelope) is fine. It will save you postage, too – you need minimum 3 stamps for the large envelope.
