What universities are the best for lost and undecided students? (Best professors and administration)

wow, that’s really crazy. But I think that’s unusual. Though I could be wrong.
It is not an issue of size, really (The article suggests this as an excuse). More like institutional competence. My alma mater had more undergrads than Columbia has, and we had the same advising system that Barnard has, essentially. And the article references a couple other universities.

Ok, so the OP said she didn’t want a big name and is concerned with colleges that have an enlightened attitude wrt sexual assault and rape, imo meaning not sweeping rape/sexual assault cases under the rug. Most of the places so far mentioned are big names and a couple, if not more for sure, have had an issue with sexual assault, to be fair, I think most campuses have this, but that’s another thread. The mattress girl, Stanford athlete are just two so I gotta think those are probably out, again the op has to clarify further by this as it’s a weighty issue. And talking about this school and that school misses this point.

OP may need to have some flexibility about requirements.

Some schools that seem relatively strong on job focus may not optimally match preferred environment in other respects (eg fraternities, etc)
Lots of stand-alone LACs, that OP can get into. may not provide the desired level of job assistance.
Lots of private colleges may not meet full need.
Public colleges may not offer desired level of job assistance.
some schools that seem to cover most bases may not be within 300 miles of NYC…

Some schools OP might consider, that all flunk one criterion or another, are :
U Rochester, Lehigh, Bucknell, Barnard College.

@monydad let’s find out and bring this thread back on topic at the same time

How about Lafayette in PA?

It’s within range of NYC, has all-around strengths in the liberal arts, and does pretty well in the job-placement sweepstakes. (This latter suggests to me that students receive systematic guidance and mentoring from faculty and administration.)

The OP should be a competitive applicant there.
