What was the prop.209 for and what did it do for california colleges?

<p>I heard it still is in affect today.I tried reading about it online but it still doesn't make sense.'not to judge based on race,sex,and ethnicity' It stated that after prop.209 was passed it took immediate action and UCs were affected a lot.Stats said that the graduation rate went for minorities but their admissions went down..If more graduated wouldn't more get accepted to fill their spaces?</p>

<p>Yes, prop 209 is still in effect at the UCs. It bars the UCs from considering race in admissions decisions.</p>
