What were your top 3 IHUM choices?

just for the record, i heard visions of mortality was really good. i took human and the machine, and if it's anything like it was last year (its first year) then it's gonna suck. good thing is it's easy and has no actual final, or at least didn't for my year.

lit of crisis i believe sucked as well. is journeys the one that tobias wolff teaches? if so, then i heard it was good. i believe utopia wasn't offered last year. it's probably new.

and frosoco is really far from everything. the farthest dorm freshman can live in, and it's relatively antisocial. also, i heard it's not worth applying too, in terms of it being more special than any other dorm.

i've heard this from my friends who lived there and from people that lived there as well in other years.

hey, current_student, as a second-year frosoco resident i think it's one of the best dorms around. from the barbequeues to the faculty dinners, i had a great time and found that the distance doesn't really matter

so for '10ers considering where to live -- at least there's controversy over the merits of fsc :D

true. i mean, not everyone can hate it. but i can name 7 people that made a point to tell me they hated it and 1 that kind of liked it, but would have rather lived somewhere else. i also know 2 more people that petitioned to be transfered from frosoco. whatever, it's def not the best dorm to be in, let's be honest. for a freshman, branner or rinc along with other are considerably better.

again, i've slept over at both branner and rinc, and found myself waay grateful for getting frosoco. so it worked out well for me; course, i can see how it wouldn't for many, many others. anyway, it won't matter for incoming frosh cuz they only pick which type of dorm, not specifics

<truce> :D</truce>

haha. truce. i wasn't in either of the three, but i know people in each and have gone to them several time, and my personal pick would be rinc or branner. but it depends on the people there every year and personal preferences. if your and engineer...the frosoco is pretty sweet b/c its close to the buildings. that's one plus :)
