So I am a Business Admin - Option in Finance major and was thinking about matching it up with a math minor. Is this a smart choice or would I be better suited going with econ or psychology?

What doors will open with such a combo? I don't think a math minor is suitable preparation for Financial Engineering but is it enough to pursue a MS Finance?

Thanks

so i take it math is a useless minor with finance??

Minors in general are pretty useless.

From what I’ve heard about it, math majors/minors are very abstract and are better for careers focused on academia. Economics, accounting, or statistics might be more applicable for corporate careers.

I’ve heard many people enjoy doing something in the humanities paired with a business-sector major. Perhaps philosophy or ethics? But really, do what you’d enjoy.
