Hello internationals, thanks to all who replied to my later posts, also thanks to those who will reply this one. As an international planning to invest in education in the US, and having in mind that a bachelors degree in engineering costs ranges between $100.000-300.000. WILL it be worth the investment ONLY if accepted among the 25 best schools? If not I considerer it to be a waste of money to pay for a college that is not that good. Also, If not accepted Among the best, I will save that money for the Masters or a PhD degree, then It will be worth to spend that much. Which of these degrees is more expensive and more difficult to be accepted to? On which will you invest that much money?

Master’s degrees are more expensive but easier to get accepted to. (In fact, a PhD should not cost you anything at all. PhD students usually receive a salary or “stipend” to attend school.)

$300,000 is really not that absurd. The cost of attendance has reached $60,000/year at some private and public (out-of-state) universities, and requiring 5 years to graduate (especially in engineering) is not unheard of either.
