What would you do? Stanford, UCSD w/ full ride, M&T Jerome fisher prog at Penn

Atm, with having to choose which college i want to attend by may 1, i'm still not quite sure on the decision. My parents say I'm going to UCSD unless I convice them otherwise by May 1. I would be going under bioengineering in the jacobs eng scholarship. Atm, though, Im uncertain as to how much i would like my experience there. I've lived in San Diego my whole life with very little traveling outside this bubble.

I also know for certain I don't want to go straight engineering or have engineering as a career. I'm more interested in finance/consulting and that career path. And I know for that sort of career, the M&T prog with wharton and all would definately be the best out of the choices i have. But when i visited, i dunno if the place was for me. i dunno if i could spend 4 years living there.

At stanford admit weekend, the trip was alright and I could sort of seeing myself living there for 4 years, but i'm worried about it preparing me and launching me into the career path i want to be in.

Atm, i'm not extremely excited about any of these choices, and was wondering what you guys' opinion on the subject is. thx in advance for any opinions =]

Stanford and fisher would be pretty hard to turn down. Both will give you great access to finance and consulting jobs. Investment banks and consulting firms recruit heavily from those schools. UCSD would give you great access to biotech jobs. If money isn't a problem, I think I'd go with one of the privates for an overall better college experience and to expand your horizons.l

If you want to go into i-banking or consulting, UCSD should be easy to turn down. One of the primary factors that i-bank and consulting firms look at when recruiting is the school that you are from. Going to either Stanford or UPenn will get you on your desired path much easier than UCSD will.
