The past is the past, there’s no point in worrying about it anymore, just look to the future, keep your grades up, and do the things you love. You’re only a sophomore, there is still plenty of time to build your application, so stop wasting time on CC ^^. I’m sure Chris, mollie, piper, or others have said it, but no one can give you an accurate chance for MIT.

That’s about all the advice I can give you since I’m only a freshman applicant haha.

Want the honest truth? You really need to step up your game if you want a chance of getting into MIT. You should consider taking AP Calculus, either AB or BC and in addition to AP Chem, and possibly another AP Science or AP Statistics even. You are going to need really good SAT or ACT scores, a kick ass essay and way more extra curricular activities. Above all else, just work really hard during your junior year, Colleges want to see that you have progressed and improved throughout your High school career and they care most about your junior year grades. Challenge yourself with difficult classes and really take a lot of time working on your essay.

maybe you could take that class over the summer? a lot of kids in my grade did that so they could get into Calc this year. If not I think its probably a good idea to try learning it bc you will most likely experience it in college
