Probably? Barefoot Contessa | Chipotle and Rosemary Roasted Nuts | Recipes
I wonder what kind of brittle that mix would make…
@abasket can you please report back - I’m interested in trying as well.
I make Ina Garten’s recipe for cashews often and everyone i have given it to /served it too has asked for the recipe. It would work with other nuts too. Rosemary, brown sugar, salt, cayenne , butter. I use more rosemary and butter and sugar and less cayenne than the recipe - personal preference. I usually buy the raw nuts at Trader Joe’s.
We’re closing down the cabin this week, and I’m cleaning the fridge tomorrow, so I dumped everything that made sense into a quiche for tonight’s dinner: shredded Swiss, crab, artichoke hearts, snow peas, mushrooms, green beans, green and red pepper, and asparagus.
I’m making a Southern Tomato Pie tonight with a Ritz Cracker crust . I had some crackers left I wanted to use up and googled recipes. It was supposed to be an easy recipe, not time consuming to make. Took much longer and more effort than I thought it would, so it better be good!
I’m going to finish the rest of my roast pork with the following recipes, most likely will make pasta fresh because I couldn’t find this type at the Persian supermarket.
I am going to make this on Thursday. It’s even going to cool down a bit in Florida this week!
I discovered this recipe last year, but it was too late to make it. Here it is, my first no knead bread. I left it a bit longer than the recipe, I want the crust to be a bit more brown.
Recipe here
that’s a beauty! I follow Alton Brown’s Knead Not sourdough bread recipe, and get great results every time. The hardest part is planning ahead (it has to rise for 19 hours).
Thanks @DeeCee36, I might try that recipe, I like sourdough, but the problem is to get a starter.
My husband had a bite and he liked it, he likes chewy bread. We gave up buying them for $8 at Costco, they add sweet stuff like dry cranberries, my husband likes plain bread to soak the stew.
Last night, pinched for time and inspired by the soup posts from you all, I doctored up some boxed chicken stock with aromatics (onion, garlic, ginger paste, ground chili and truffle powder) then cooked a couple of packages of top ramen in there (without the seasoning packet), sautéed some baby bok choy and mushrooms in a mix of sesame oil and soy sauce and mixed it all together. It was delicious!
I do a makeshift ramen often! I like to buy either the dry noodles from Costco (sort of like this picture but I feel like it’s packaged differently) or Momofuku from Target and then doctor them up with veggies, a soft egg, some chili crunch…
ooh, I didn’t even think about adding chili crunch, I bet that is good!
Key Lime Pie (Nellie and Joe’s Key West Lime juice) for H who just got his super duper flu shot.
I bought a huge cabbage on sale, I’m thinking of making sauerkraut, I think the recipe is from the Pioneer woman.
I wound up making that pumpkin chili I linked above today instead of tomorrow. I really like it! The flavor profile is different, but it still has some nice spice. I think from the chipotle chili powder.
Dh went to run group tonight, and they eat out after, so I’ll see what he thinks tomorrow night.
Ultimate comfort food - made this for family dinner over the weekend. It was plate-licking good!
I made this today, it’s good, I made it with oyster mushrooms.
That is right up my alley. I love anything mushroom and grilled cheese with mushrooms are also a favorite.
