Ugly part of my application:
Underwent deportment probation after my freshmen year for shoplifting. It was explained very well and my recommendations all praise me for my maturity though. They all mentioned that indeed, i have changed and i handled it very well. In fact, it did more good than bad for me - that incident. AAAHHHH

any feedback from ANYONE would be of great help so please please please chance me. thank you so much!

What college of NYU are you applying to?

College of Arts and Science - Economics

thank you for your reply!

i'll be honest, it doesn't look good. i saw a lot of ECs, i guess thats a good thing. but the academics, the main component of your application, is weak. applying for a competitive major like economics will not help your chances either. i hope youre considering other schools. good luck.

I had worse SAT scores and I got into NYU for Economics... not sure how your probation will hold up with NYU, but at least test-score wise you could be a viable candidate for GSP

Your writing and critical reading is a bit low...but your international right? Your AP and sat2 scores are very good though. Ok chances.

ya intl students

NYU likes international students?

they like intl students for: 1) the diversity... and 2) the lack of fin aid= full tuition :P

i can pay full tuition though..

I don't think NYU chooses int'l students based on whether or not they can pay the full tuition, but that may be why they "like" int'l students. Int'l students are not offered federal financial aid or loans, so other than scholarships, they usually wind up having to pay full tuition. Your ability to pay doesn't factor in.

international students do not receive scholarships either

what should i get in my sat's to raise my chances from okay to pretty sure?

700 on each
