Whats a good book for learning C/C++

im gonna start a comp programming club at my school this year. Well prbly be teaching ourselves C or C++. Anyone know some good books?

How To Think Like A Computer Scientist, C++ version
Online, free and well worth a go. I've used the Java version for revision.

nice! How good is this for the AP exam you think?

Well I never did the AP exam... given that I live outside the US. (and the stupid State Examinations Commission here won't put CS on the Leaving Certificate)
I heard the Java version covers the AP exam pretty well though (when I was originally linked to it, it was on an AP CS site... can't find that URL though). Maybe if you plan on doing the AP exam you should teach yourself Java...
Another good book is Computing Concepts with Java 2 Essentials, by Cay Horstmann. I think there's a C or C++ version of it too.

If you want to start a programming club, you should look at <a href="http://www.usaco.org%5B/url%5D">www.usaco.org</a> . There's a programming contest there that you can do, even if you are just learning.

The AP exam uses Java and not C/C++...
