Whats best for business major?

local public school, low cost, "average" curriculum, allowing a good GPA, good professor rec/relationships school

or

national private school, pretty expensive, "tough" curriculum (but very well respected), probably a mediocre GPA, good professor relationships.

hmmm....which college would u go to? I think the local public will offer me some merit, and the private I will prolly get only need based grants.

kinda depends on the public and private schools...some privates are definitely worth the money (UPenn) and some publics are definitely NOT worh the money (Texas Tech, for instance).

Say we're talking about like:

Above Average State U's (not the best publics but close) UMinnesota, UConn, PennSt, UMCP, etc vs. something similar to Boston College, Georgetown, BU, Lehigh, and then vs. some prestigous (non top 10) LAC's like Colgate, Colby, etc...

then what?

anyone else?

visit both places, and see which you'd fit in more at

if you get into Georgetown McDonough, Colgate, or Colby (and you like the schools), I think they would be worth the extra money and I would quickly toss out those state schools, even if I had to borrow money.

Michigan, Texas, NYU, Penn...

are those the schools you're comparing?

I would go to Michigan or UTexas if I was in-state over NYU (unless you just love the city, like myself, which changes things up).

If you get into UPenn Wharton, you should do everything within your power (regarding finances) to go.

I did apply to Wharton ED, but I seriously doubt that I will get in.

so I think I have shot at getting in to UNC or maybe a decent shot at Wake Forest. The public one that might offer me merit is UNCG (<a href="http://www.uncg.edu)%5B/url%5D">www.uncg.edu)</a>.</p>

So the question was really btwn. wake forest and UNCG.

If you get into Wharton, WHARTON will do everything in THEIR power to finance your education.

yea, getting in is hard enough.
