We receive a letter from the President now and then, and I'm always interested to see what kinds of projects are on the horizon for the campus. I couldn't find this on their web site, so I'll just type in what this one says. (Typos are mine!)

"This summer we'll tackle a large number of physical plant projects that affect students' academic and residential life. Considerable work will take place in Kappa Sigma and Beta Theta Pi Residence Halls [my note - no longer Greek houses] as well as to some of the infrastructure of Huffman Dining Hall. Slayter Student Union will undergo another round of renovation, with major rearrangements coming to the main level that will include a complete replacement of the mail facilities. WDUB, the college radio station, will move from the bowels of Knapp Hall to the highly visible glass-enclosed studio on Slayter's first floor. Herrick Auditorium, its three hundred seats no longer appropriate to Denison's small, participatory classes, will be refurbished to serve as a central campus venue for music rehearsal, fine arts performances, and major speakers. And, of course, we expect to get underway the exciting renovation of Cleveland Hall -- to result in eighteen months in the Bryant Art Center at Denison."

Another interesting part of the letter is about there focus on hiring new tenure track professor positions with endowments.
