What's a decent GPA that would be fine for landing at least one decent paying internship/job offer? What GPA begins to look "bad" and will leave you unemployed after graduation? I'm not sure how employers weigh an applicant's GPA for EECS compared to technical skills, extracurriculars, leadership, etc.

The job market for CS and for EE are very different. EE still has a pretty good job market but it’s not like CS. So it all depends.

If you’re CS, it’s unlikely you’re going to be unemployed after graduation unless you either don’t want employment, or you’re an absolute moron. So just that 2.0 required to get the degree.

Note that, I’m talking about the job market now, not what the job market will be in 4 or 5 years.

The generic cutoff for the majority of postings is a 3.0

^^ that doesn’t really apply to programming positions as much, though. I’ve heard of plenty of people getting jobs at legitimate firms with <3.0
