What's in your organized workspace?

I'm going shopping to organize my workspace. Any things that you have in yours that you think are effective in organization and help with studying?

A lot of drawers, lamps, a labeler, and a storage place.

LOL. I don’t have one…

thanks @ilovefgump i’m going to add those things to the list. i’ve been googling around and i’m finding some neat stuff.

During HS my workspace was my bed o.O
I did fall asleep a lot when doing hw though, so I don’t recommend that L0L

^^ Wal-Mart and PB Teen have some great stuff, but Wal-Mart is way cheaper than PBT.

yeah splonk… “just gonna rest my head for a bit… -wakes up an hour before school- OH ****”

My workplace consists of a table, eight chairs, and decorative center pieces.

Seriously though, my workplace during the school year is my house’s breakfast room. Though I do have a desk in my room with my comp, but nothing around it that helps me academically. I do have a file cabinet built into my desk where I arrange all my important papers for ECs and school related documents.

yeah, you probably won’t keep an organized desk for long… just make sure all the important stuff is stored somewhere and try not to get distracted by stuff. it’s best if you not have too many things on your workspace desk, a desk with a lamp and whatever. store everything else with a cabinet, drawers, etc.

This is going to sound strange but sometimes I’ll steal ideas from the offices at Free People.

On their blog, they regularly post photos of their desks and office enviornment and, because it’s Free People, it’s usually really eccentric and unusual desk set ups that they’ll use for inspiration.

So that’s what I do from time to time.
I recently got excruciatingly bored last weekend and made a suede dreamcatcher pencil/pen holder for my desk that one of the Free People employees had on hers.

I know that’s really weird but I hate having a boring looking deskspace. I need the “whimsy.”

I’m a slob.

Post-It notes are my speciality. My desk is covered with dozens of them, all filled with scribbled thoughts.

Organized workspace hahaha. Nope

I have a lot of post-it notes as well as a pencil holder with pencils, pens, and highlighters right at my fingertips. Also a clock and that’s it.

Some sort of timer and a stash of labels, highlighters, and pens should do the trick. If you have to use looseleaf, put it in a large binder and take out sheets as necessary. Accessorize to taste.

I also have a desktop calendar. You might not need something so drastic to be organized, though.

My house is my organized workspace… <_<
