whats inversly proportional and directly proportinal mean and other math help

and are there any other proportionals i should know. also i always have trouble with the f(x) problems if it has a graph or not i still have trouble. anyone have any tips

Having experience with functions (f(x) stuff) is good to solve that kind of question easily.
I do not know about the American schools, but I have had around one year in school (Germany) specially dedicated to functions and what you can do with them.

Be sure that f(x+h) means that the graph is moved left by h.
This is sometimes a bit difficult to remember, because + is usually associated with movement to the right (donno why).

and f(x) + h means that the graph of the function is moved upwards by h.
If h is negative, it will of course move down.

Be sure that you can estimate the slope of lines pretty quickly and memorize the properties of a f(x) = ax² +bx + c function.

inversely proportional: xy = k
directly proportional: y = kx
