So its April and I know where I can go to school for the next four years. I have been admitted to Vanderbilt, Wisconsin (honors), University of Miami FL, and UC-San Diego.

Right now my top two choices are Vanderbilt and Wisconsin. I'm from the Chicago area so location is really great at Wisconsin-Madison. However, the prestige of Vanderbilt is very appealing. I'm a little worried if I'll be successful in the pre-med track at Vanderbilt. I have a 33 ACT and a 5.4/5 GPA in almost all honors/AP courses.

I am really interested in Pre-med but want to minor in some business. How do University of Wisconsin-Madison and Vanderbilt compare?? I know it is a pretty weird combination of schools to choose from. I know I'll probably do better comparatively at Wisconsin but Vanderbilt has a better reputation. The size difference is also an issue. I can choose from a big, public school where I'll meet many new people or a smaller, private school where I can probably find my place easier. I'm someone who has gone through school and been successful without having to try very hard, so Vanderbilt may finally bring that out of me. On the other hand, I'm someone who is very active and likes to have fun, so Wisconsin is appealing.

Any help would really be appreciated while I try and make this decision. How do they compare as pre-med programs?? What kind of academic environment should I expect in each of the pre-med programs? And ultimately, which will allow me to get into the best med school?
